Introducing Tom Pennington-Brookfield
Innovative Technology Ltd (ITL), a global provider of cash handling equipment is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Pennington-Brookfield, Financial Director.
Tom joins the business pending the retirement of current FD, Alun Evans.
“Having spent 10 years in accounting practice and 6 years in industry in various different types of business, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in such an entrepreneurial company that is at the start of its next growth phase. The pace of change since I last saw the business as an auditor in 2006/7 is incredible and looks set to continue with the global footprint expanding and investments being made in new technology. I look forward to leveraging my analytical background and bringing a fresh perspective to all areas of the business.
ITL’s pace of growth and plans for the future originally attracted me to the company as it is fairly unique, and the opportunity to add value while undertaking a key role was intriguing. Since joining ITL in November, Alun (the existing FD) has been a great help in ensuring I am up to speed with the current role and requirements. It seems that Alun has done a great job during his time here at ITL and is leaving behind a large void for me to fill”.
Managing Director Aidan Towey said, “As the newest member of the board, Tom will bring a fresh approach to our global operations. He will not only fulfil his financial duties, but he will also play an active role in a number of projects throughout the business as we work towards our future growth aspirations. I would like to take this opportunity to officially welcome Tom to the ITL team”.

Opportunity knocks
2014 has been a great year for ITL. As well as winning industry awards, releasing new products and opening new office locations, we’ve filled 43 permanent vacancies this year.
It’s great when a company shows its appreciation for hard work and here at ITL we were treated to a catered Christmas lunch in December. Along with other festive activities like Secret Santa, bowling and a night out, staff were definitely ready for the well-deserved 11 day break over Christmas. We’ve returned in 2015 well rested and a few pounds lighter (in the wallet, not the waist) ready to do it all over again.
Planning is currently underway for recruitment in 2015, with student opportunities and 8 graduate positions to be filled this year we are pleased to be able to continue to help students gain valuable work experience and graduates take the first step onto their career ladder.
We also have some exciting new opportunities across the rest of the business; with roles in R&D, Manufacturing and Customer Support across our sites in Oldham and Milton Keynes, 2015 is looking to be just as busy and rewarding as 2014.
If you’re looking for a new career this year then take a look at all our current opportunities including all graduate/student opportunities for 2015 http://www.innovative-technology.co.uk/careers/
Recruitment Tip for Grads:
Gain as much work experience as you can. As well as a big 6 week holiday in the summer, the school term is littered with half term and end of term breaks. Take these opportunities to spend time in relevant companies; a candidate who has spent their spare time furthering themselves and their knowledge of a chosen subject will really stand out to a hiring manager, which will work in your favour when it comes to applying for graduate roles.
