Queen's Award Celebrations

We celebrated our 3rd Queen's Award in style on Friday night with a party for all of ITL's European staff. We were joined by special guest The Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester who presented David Bellis MBE and Aidan Towey with the award (as pictured above). I think I speak for everyone when I say a great night was had by all!

Staff from Innovative Technology’s European Offices were in Oldham on Friday night to see the Company receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2014 from the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester Mr. Warren Smith.

The evening got off to a great start with a bucks fizz reception (enjoyed out in the sunshine), before the Lord Lieutenant presented the official Queen’s Award to Chairman David Bellis MBE and Managing Director Aidan Towey. After a few official photographs to mark the occasion guests enjoyed a 3 course meal and danced the night away into the early hours!

Dayna Patterson, Marketing Executive who organised the event said “We wanted to arrange a really good party to celebrate our 3rd Queen’s Award and I think we achieved this. It is always great to bring staff from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Russia and Spain together. We all had a brilliant night and everyone went home with a commemorative coin marking the birth of HRH Prince George of Cambridge a fitting tribute to mark our Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2014.”

Aidan Towey, MD “The Queen’s Awards are one of the most prestigious business accolades in the UK and we are honoured to have received the award this year. Being the 3rd Queen’s Award in the company’s history we wanted to mark the occasion with a party for all of our European staff, celebrating not only the Queen’s Award but three years’ of exceptional growth and record sales.”

Towey went on to say, “So far 2014 has been a brilliant year for Innovative Technology, receiving the Queen’s Award and being named the 13th fastest growing private company in Britain. By the end of the year we will have a new state of the art head office building and with expansion very much in our current plans we have a number of exciting career opportunities across the globe.”

Next month David Bellis MBE and Peter Dunlop will represent Innovative Technology at Buckingham Palace when the Queen invites all of this year’s winners from across the UK to a  reception at the Palace to recognise their outstanding business success.
