SCS / SH4 firmware version 1.36 released

A new version of Smart Coin System / Smart Hopper firmware has now been released, 1.36. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and will be used on new sales orders.

Feature Highlights:

• Improved on the fly calibration method on SMART Hopper

• Improved robustness on secondary hopper communication

• SSP commands the get/set coin levels or routes reply with busy if slave hopper is in error state or not initialised yet

NV9 Spectral firmware version 1.19 released

A new version of NV9 Spectral firmware has now been released, 1.19. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and will be used on new sales orders.

Feature Highlights:

• A feature is included that manages the rejection of notes to be paid to the MNF:

     • if the note is very twisted it is rejected as always

     • if the angle is not optimal but is acceptable to read, it is sent to the stacker with credit

• “Unable to stack” event when the device has no rear cover attached

Biometrics Range

A new version of firmware has now been released, 11.00 across our biometric range for ICU Lite, MyCheckr & MyCheckr^Mini.

Feature Highlights:

• Implemented auto-termination for added security

• Added face tracking

• Spoof LED indicator added for MyCheckr and MyCheckr^Mini

• API updates

• Improved gender detection

NV9 Spectral Build Revision 8

• Modification to the rear lozenge to stiffen release clips

• Drive gear material changed to PBT, colour has been changed to red

• Rear clip added curved taper to central area to improve long note stacking

• New motor drive board with added cashbox sensor

Requirements*

• Create New - where there is no base ITL dataset 10 units are required for the data collection. Another 2 required to test the dataset

• Modify - For a Modify existing job you need 5 devices. Another 2 are required to test the dataset

• ITL reference notes are required to ensure the units are working well

IF17 Programming Kit [PA03837]

The IF17 Kit [PA03837] has replaced the DA2 programming kit and should be used with all ITL validators for improved protection against noise and a more robust power connector.

The IF17 Kit contains:

New Bezels

Innovative Technology Americas move to Georgia 

Earlier this year Innovative Technology Americas relocated to a new facility in Suwanee, GA, just north of Atlanta. Commenting on the move, Lauren Fabbri, Business Development Manager for the US operations said, “While our time spent in Pewaukee, WI was tremendous, we have elected to relocate and expand our US operations to the Atlanta, GA area and look forward to growing into our newly upgraded office in Georgia. We are up and running with all services in the new Atlanta office, including sales and technical support for all products plus retail product repairs. New King Charles III Banknotes

GBP new King Charles III datasets will be freely available by the end of the year to allow customers plenty of time to update units in the field ahead of their release in 2024 (date yet to be announced by the Bank of England). New GBP currency datasets will be released for all current products identified with the dataset codes below. A SMART update will also be made available at this time for all current products. Check here for a full list of obsolete products NOT included in this update.
