Age estimation solution success for ITL at the Retail Technology Show

Innovative Technology (ITL) reported a successful debut at the Retail Technology Show (RTS) last week at London Olympia.   The organisation showcased how their wide range of cash handling and leading biometric solutions for the retail and hospitality industry can be utilised to help increase efficiency and enhance customer experience.

Chris Wright, Business Development Manager, commented, “This was our first time exhibiting at RTS, and we are delighted to announce that it was a great success.  We were really impressed with how busy the show was throughout both days. Our biometric solutions went down a storm with many show visitors trying out MyCheckr for the first time. This latest product in our biometrics range provides age estimation technology in a compact, plug-in device. MyCheckr is designed to give an extra level of assurance when till operators are checking age during the sale of age-restricted goods.  The stand-alone device with display screen, accurately performs anonymous age estimation and using an LED indicator, it informs staff when the customer is deemed under 25 and therefore needs to provide ID. It requires no integration, and has no recurring charges per age check, making it a cost-effective solution to help retailers avoid fines and support the Challenge 25 policy.”

ITL also had their traditional cash handling products for retail applications on display including CashGenic, their all-in-one solution that automates cash transactions and eliminates the need for staff to handle cash.

Chris continued, “CashGenic automates payment processes to remove the need for cash register handovers and reduce cash counting, therefore saving time and generating greater efficiencies for the business, in a secure and hygienic way. Visitors could demo the full suite of products that are utilised within the CashGenic system, such as the Spectral Payout for superior mixed note recycling and the Smart Coin System for bulk, mixed coin recycling.”

Concluding Chris commented, “Overall the show was a great success and we’ve already signed up for next year.  I am looking forward to contacting those who visited our stand over the next few weeks to show how implementing our solutions can generate real cost savings for their businesses.”
