High interest in ITL’s NV200 Spectral and SMART Coin System at International PLUS Forum 2017

The 9th International PLUS-Forum 2017 took place on 4th & 5th October at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre in Moscow where Innovative Technology Ltd (ITL) showcased their expanding retail and banking product portfolio.

Commenting on the show, Lina Trofimow, Business Development Manager said, “The exhibition was busy with organisations from across the region interested in cash circulation and self-service. A key industry topic which was talked about at length during the show was the growing use of cash across the region, highlighting that ‘cash is still king’ in the region. This year we had established products to promote that are ideally suited to both the banking and retail sectors.  Visitors to our stand showed lots of interest in our game changing new validator, NV200 Spectral – the most technically advanced note validator in its class. Of significant interest was the fact that, the NV200 Spectral has passed and is now certified by the Central Bank of Russia’s (CBR) - due to its notoriously stringent requirements. It’s value for money, plus the fact that it has add-on modules to allow note recycling or ticket printing capabilities proved very attractive.”

ITL’s NV200 Spectral has state of the art spectral sensors which offers complete note image capture (highest spectral coverage) to authenticate the validity of notes. The unit boasts 99%+ first time acceptance of new and street grade notes with a note to note processing time of 2 seconds. It also delivers outstanding fraud protection by using optical and mechanical anti-strimming technology.

Lina continued, “Another particular highlight was our SMART Coin System. A market leading coin capacity makes this unique unit suitable for a number of different applications combining an advanced bulk coin validator, mixed coin hopper and recycler in one. The unit validates, discriminates and stores mixed coins, eliminating coin starvation & the need for multiple hoppers. Visitors were keen to hear how the SMART Coin System significantly reduces operator collection costs, eliminating coin starvation.”
On its debut outing in Russia was ITL’s SafeCash Collect. A new unit that combines a tamper evident bag system (TEBS) with live data collection and reporting. Although this concept is still under development it was another popular talking point on the ITL stand. The unique barcoded bags allow for full audit traceability.  This reduces shrinkage, eliminates counting cash and accounting errors. The system dramatically reduces cash in transit collection costs and as updates are pushed out from one central location, there is no need to visit multiple sites.

Lina concluded, “International PLUS-Forum 2017 provided us with an ideal opportunity to exhibit our retail and banking products to the growing industry in Russia. We expect a lot of interest in NV200 Spectral and SafeCash Collect from the Russian retailers over the next 12 months. We are pleased with the overall feedback and interest we obtained and are delighted with the growing awareness and trust in our products.”
