NV200 firmware version 4.41 released
A new version of NV200 firmware has now been released, 4.41 and 5.41. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and is available to download free from our website within Technical Support/ Currency Download.

SMART Update Tool - £5
We have released a SMART Update Tool - £5 to allow operators to update all ITL validators in the field ahead of the new Bank of England £5 polymer note’s release on Tuesday 13th September. The SMART Update Tool has been designed to ease the update process and contains all applicable GBP datasets and the latest DPS and DA3 firmware.

NB: All validators must be updated before 13/09/16 to be able to accept the new issue note. The Bank of England has indicated that the current paper note will be withdrawn from circulation during May 2017.
IF6 to be discontinued
The IF6 (NV4 – NV10 convertor) will be discontinued in March 2017. The NV4 has been obsolete for a number of years now and so the IF6 will be removed from our spare parts list. All available spares can be purchased from your local office or via our webshop.
New €50 note released
The European Central Bank (ECB) unveiled the new €50 banknote last month and announced that it will enter circulation on Tuesday 4 April 2017.
The introduction of the new note marks the latest step in making euro banknotes even more secure. After the €5, €10 and €20, the €50 is the fourth denomination in the second series of euro
banknotes, known as the Europa series. The €50 is the most widely used euro banknote, accounting for 45% of all banknotes in circulation.
We will update all applicable ITL EURO datasets ahead of the notes release in April 2017 and create a SMART Update Tool - €50 to ease the update process for operators. Read more about the new €50 note on our website and in future bulletins.
