New Swiss 10-Franc Note Released October 2017

 

The new 10-franc note has arrived. Following the launch of the 50-franc and 20-franc note, this is the third of six denominations in the new banknote series being phased in by the Swiss National Bank between 2016 and 2019.

In the ninth banknote series the Swiss National Bank is breaking new ground on the design front – it is moving away from the depiction of well-known personalities altogether. The 10-franc note focuses on Switzerland’s organisational talent – expressed by time, the note’s key motif. 

 

We are pleased to announce that our datasets for the NV200, NV9, NV10 and BV20 have all been updated and can be downloaded from our website for free. 

On 14th September 2017, the new £10 note officially entered circulation. The new £10 is the second Bank of England note to be printed on polymer and is around 15% smaller than the existing paper £10. The new £10 note incorporates enhanced security features and has a number of design elements which relate to Jane Austen. It provides enhanced counterfeit resilience, and increases the quality of notes in circulation. The old £10 will be withdrawn from circulation during Spring 2018. 

 

The new £10 has been included in all of our datasets since summer and can be downloaded from our website for free.
