Innovative Technology celebrate 25 years in business

Innovative Technology Ltd. (ITL) the multi-award winning manufacturer of cash handing equipment are celebrating am impressive milestone, 25 years in business. Founded in 1992 by David Bellis MBE, ITL was created to bring affordable banknote validators to the AWP market and has flourished from its Oldham roots to become one of the world leading suppliers of cash handling equipment.

 

David Bellis MBE, ITL Chairman and Founder commented, “I started the company in 1992 working out of my conservatory. I couldn’t have imagined then that we would have over 340 staff worldwide in 10 different office locations. The company has gone from strength to strength. We’ve invested heavily in R&D at every step to ensure continued growth and our position at the forefront of the industry with innovative products and cutting edge technology.”

 

Innovative Technology has received 4 Queen’s Awards during their history, most recent the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation 2017 having previously won in 1997, 1999 & 2014. ITL was named the 13th fastest private growing company in Britain in 2014 and were identified as one of the 1000 companies to inspire Britain in 2016 by the London Stock Exchange.

 

The cash handling equipment manufacturer prides itself on providing exceptional value, intelligent validation products that customers both need and want, a philosophy which began with the original NV1 and remains today. Significant investment in research & development has seen Innovative Technology grow to a worldwide company with 10 office locations and a global network of Trading Partners.

 

Group Managing Director, Peter Dunlop has been with the company for over 20 years, having joined fresh from university “When I joined, ITL it was a small office in Royton. I’ve seen a lot of changes and huge growth, especially in the Development team where I began. Innovation is at the heart of the company’s operations, something which has been ITL’s Ethos since day one. We pride ourselves on creating innovative products and now offer note, coin and ticketing validation equipment with ambitious plans for the future.”

 

To mark the 25th year in business ITL organised a weekend of outdoor activities for all staff. MD, Peter said, “The company has always had a real family feel, something that we have managed to retain despite our growth. It’s great to be able to bring everyone from our international offices together to celebrate with some fun activities outside of work.”
