BV20 firmware 4.08

BV20 firmware is now at version 4.08. Firmware is contained within the currency dataset files and is available to download from Technical Support / Currency Download.

New features include:

  • Pulse Settings correctly implemented in the BV when modified from the dataset.
  • Improvements to security

NV200 European Central Bank (ECB) Approval

The NV200 high volume, high security bank note validator have received ECB approval for its ability to recognise genuine and counterfeit Euro banknotes. The NV200 received 100% for its genuine bank note acceptance and rejected 100% of the counterfeit notes presented during the test. The test results, published by the ECB, assist banknote users in selecting appropriate counterfeit detection equipment and can be found on-line at http://www.ecb.int/euro/cashhand/devices/results/html/index.en.html

The Royal Bank of Scotland issued a commemorative £10 bank note last month (23rd May) to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. NB: this note will not be added to ITL currency datasets due to a very limited circulation.
