A Vending Venture for ITL

Leading cash handling equipment provider, Innovative Technology Ltd. (ITL) will be exhibiting at EU’Vend in Cologne on the 27th-29th April. The company will have their innovative range of cash handling products on display for visitors at Stand No: Hall 9.1 A048/B049.

Highlights on the stand will include a number of popular vending products including the NV9 USB+, NV10 USB+, NV11+ and NV12+. Note recycling has remained a hot topic for the vending industry and the company’s modular approach to product design means customers already using the widely used NV9 USB+ note validators can easily add note recycling or ticket printing capabilities. ITL’s versatile yet compact products are ideal for the vending industry’s space constraints; making transactions more convenient for the end customer.

Business Development Manager, Christian Czeskleba commented, ‘We are extremely excited to be participating at EU’Vend this year, the show is bigger than last year and I am expecting a lot of interest in our products. Having consulted with our customers we have designed a mounting bracket specifically for the vending industry to allow a note recycling validator to be implemented into machines. The bracket mounts directly to the machine door and uses the standard vending cut-out for easy instillation. Our NV11+ now supports MDB too so we can offer the perfect solution. I am really looking forward to talking to visitors about this at the event. Our products can be implemented easily and used to give out vending receipts or banknotes for convenient customer change, I know visitors are going to be impressed. I especially enjoy EU’Vend, being from Germany, it gives me an ideal opportunity to connect with my customers and put faces to names!’

The company’s newest product, the NV200 Spectral will also be on display at the show. Although not specifically aimed at the vending industry visitors are set to marvel at the unit’s sensing technology scans over 4.8 million datapoints (a figure which is unmatched by industry competitors) capturing 100% of banknotes.

#MCRDigital

Lydia Makin, Resourcing Coordinator visited MCR Digital, one of the biggest career events in Manchester to represent ITL…

In February, I organised for ITL to attend the MCR Digital event – one of the biggest career events that runs in Manchester aimed at ‘tech savvy’ students. In 2016, the event had around 1,500 students attend so it was inevitable to expect the same or more this year!Living local, I travelled via the Metrolink and met my colleagues Tom, Resourcing & Talent Manager, and Jim Franklin, Embedded Software Engineer, at the venue in time for the set up. The event was held in Manchester City Centre at the Town Hall. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered as the décor was amazing and the hall was huge!

Once we had registered and checked in, we located our booth – which was ideal, right by the entrance. All hands were on deck to get the stand up and running before the event started at 11.30am as we knew it would be extremely busy! The next task was to set up the products which we had taken. Luckily, I had Jim and Tom to help me connect them up correctly but we still called James, our technical support engineer to confirm everything was done correctly.

As predicted, from the moment the doors opened to the moment the doors closed, our stand was extremely busy. We were overwhelmed with the amount of interest we received with students wanting to know more about the company and what we can offer them. We were so busy we didn’t even have a chance to eat our lunch!

I spent the whole day interacting with students who were mainly studying Computer Science and Software Engineering as well as a few Data Science students, which proved to be a great opportunity to discuss our 2017 – 1 YR Placement, Summer Internships and Graduate positions. Towards the end of the day when the event was quieting down, I was able to have a look around to see what other companies had to offer and I was impressed with Dream-R who had a virtual reality basketball game set up!

Although the day was very tiring, I really enjoyed attending the event to promote our company vacancies and of course, meeting the students and hearing about their skills and experience. For our next recruitment fair, we will be attending Liverpool Spring Careers Fair on Wednesday 22nd March 2017 at The Crypt Hall, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.

We have always emphasised the importance of collaborating with the BoE, as their support allows us to ensure our currency datasets are correct and up to date.”

With the introduction of the new £10 polymer due September 2017, the cash handling industry is set to undergo a considerable change in the near future. Here at ITL, we are now looking forward to the new note entering circulation and have worked with the BoE to get prepared for the change.
